Our highly trained occupational therapists specialize in neuroadaptive therapy, bringing deep experience, compassion, and skill to every session.

Why Low Level Laser Therapy?

Backed by over 4,000 studies, LLLT (also called photobiomodulation) uses gentle, therapeutic light (including red and infra-red) to:

  • Boost cellular energy and brain function

  • Reduce inflammation and pain

  • Support healing and regeneration

  • Improve focus, mood, and sensory regulation

At Bright Beginnings, we use state-of-the-art lasers from Avant, a trusted leader in clinical laser technology—safe for children and powerful in its results.

FAQs

  • Neuroadaptive intensives are commonly utilized with common diagnoses such as Autism and ADHD/ADD, although a diagnosis is not necessary for this treatment. Some common areas that our intensives support include:

    • Attention and focus

    • Sensory processing

    • Primitive reflex integration

    • Vision and ocular motor skills

    • Communication and social skills

    • Emotional regulation

    • Anxiety

    • Motor development

    • Much more!

We are happy to discuss your child’s unique situation and determine if this is a good fit for your family! Please reach out today to schedule a free consultation!

  • Children often leave our intensives feeling more calm, focused, and confident—better able to engage with the world around them and take on new challenges with joy.

This is a non-invasive and medication-free approach that works with your child’s body—not against it.

  • Cold laser therapy—also called Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) or low-level light therapy—is generally regarded as safe for therapeutic use and FDA approved to support healing, reduce inflammation, and improve how the body and brain function.

At Bright Beginnings, your child’s safety is our top priority. Here’s a quick overview of why cold laser therapy is considered safe and effective for therapeutic use:

    Gentle and Low-Intensity

Cold lasers use low levels of light that don’t produce heat, so there’s no risk of burns or tissue damage. The treatment is comfortable, and most children don’t feel anything at all during the session.

    Non-Invasive and Needle-Free

There are no incisions, needles, or medications involved. It’s a completely external treatment that works through light applied to the skin.

    Minimal Side Effects

Side effects are rare and mild—sometimes a child may have slight redness or temporary irritation at the treatment site. These effects typically go away quickly.

Safe When Used by Trained Professionals

Our team follows strict safety protocols, ensuring cold laser therapy is used properly and effectively. Like any therapy, results are best—and safest—when guided by experienced professionals.

When Cold Laser Therapy Should Be Avoided

While cold laser therapy is safe for most children, it’s not recommended in a few situations—for example:

    • Directly over the eyes

    • Over active cancer sites

    • Certain medical conditions (we’ll discuss this with you during your consultation)

    • Duration: 1 to 3 weeks

    • Daily Therapy: 2-3 hours per day of focused, one-on-one sessions
This concentrated model allows us to maximize results in a shorter time than traditional therapy.

Intensives are customized to the unique needs of each child. This is discussed during initial consultation and following evaluation.

  • What is included in a NeuroAdaptive Therapy Intensive with BBOT?

    • Comprehensive Evaluation and Personalized Treatment Plan: Each intensive begins with a thorough assessment of your child’s sensory processing, motor coordination, communication, social skills, primitive reflexes, and visual function. This informs a personalized treatment plan tailored to your child’s unique needs.

Therapy targets specific developmental goals such as focus, coordination, emotional regulation, and connection, and may also address key brain areas (Brodmann areas) based on your child’s profile.

    2. Intensive Sessions Using Cutting-Edge Therapy Tools

We use a powerful combination of therapeutic tools and techniques, such as:

    • Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT): Gentle, non-invasive laser light supports brain function, emotional regulation, and sensory processing.

    • Sensory Integration and Motor Activities: Fun, engaging exercises to help your child process and respond to sensory input more effectively.

    • Primitive Reflex Integration: Targeted movement patterns to help resolve retained reflexes that may be impacting development.

    • Additional Tools: May include Rezzimax, EyeLights, or VibePlate, to support balance, coordination, and attention.

    3. End-of-Intensive Report & Follow-Up

You’ll receive a comprehensive report summarizing your child’s progress, next steps, and home recommendations.

A follow-up session one week later is included to support continued success.

    Bonus: Nutritional & Supplement Guidance

We offer recommendations on dietary support and supplements when appropriate—especially if underlying biomedical factors may be influencing development.
